Hello

I'm just a girl from the country with big dreams! I've always been curious about life. As a little girl, I'd often ask "Where does the universe end?" or
"How did we get here?" And "Why don't we help the people who don't have food or a place to live?"

This curiosity guided me to look for answers, most of which couldn't be answered by those around me, so I naturally started to look within. When it came to the challenges that humanity faced, the answers seemed simple to me. The earth is a place for everyone to live, it provides food, water and all our resources. So why all the fighting, why can't we find ways to get along and enjoy this beautiful life? Well, as long as we point the finger and say the problem is outside of ourselves nothing will change.

The natural process of life is coherent and self-sufficient. When human beings are disconnected from this process we complicate it and create unsustainable problems. We all need to take individual responsibility for our life on this planet, each focusing on finding solutions to the challenges we face. When we do this, coherence is re-established and life becomes more sustainable.

My Story

I feel blessed to have grown up in the Northern Rivers of NSW Australia, this connection to the land is part of who I am and is guiding my choices and actions today.  I love my family and every part of my past has made me who I am today. To my Mum and Dad, thank you for everything you have done for me, I love you with all my heart.

Life wasn't always easy, growing up, money (or lack thereof)  was a big problem in our house. I watched my parents do their best to create a sustainable lifestyle, living off the land in connection to nature. Yet with personal challenges as well as rising interest rates on loans and low incomes, the stress and pressure significantly impacted our family and it wasn’t sustainable.

At the age of 14, I planned to move out of home, I couldn’t handle the stress I was exposed to living there. I was focused on getting out, making money and doing things my way.

Throughout my 20’s, I struggled with feeling alone & unfulfilled, constantly functioning from a state of fear and anxiety. From the moment I left school, I was trying to get to that place where I would be happy “one day”. I was completely disconnected from my body & soul. I ignorantly ate crap processed food not knowing how much I was poisoning my body. I drank alcohol and scrolled social media to numb the pain of the life I was living. I struggled to feel good about myself and my body.

At times I yearned for deeper human connection, not knowing that I lacked a deeper connection with myself. I was married at 20 then divorced by 26, now lost & alone more than ever. I thought I had it figured out, I had money and my man and yet I failed. I had no idea of who I was and so the journey of deep personal introspection began.

That’s when I found yoga, not only did it help me create a healthy connection with my body, mind and soul, I was now forming deeper human connections. I started to feel I was living and enjoying my life in the present moment instead of waiting for it to happen one day. I stopped seeking comforts to mask the pains of the past and started to learn that discomforts are an opportunity to grow and become more connected to life.

Which lead me to live and work from my passions rather than escaping my pains. Through the ancient wisdom of yoga, mindfulness techniques, natural therapies and breathwork practices, I’ve personally utilised & facilitated others using these powerful tools to empower people to live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.

Fast forward to today, I’m now a Mum as well as a creative visionary, the journey has been really challenging. From my experience, pressure from the fast-paced modern-day way of life doesn’t ideally support creativity or healthy parenting. It takes a village to raise a child & we need tribe to thrive. Over this history of time, humans have traditionally lived in smaller communities, tribes or villages experiencing the highs and lows of what it is to be human (together).

Thriving doesn't mean being comfortable all the time, we are supposed to endure hard times. And we aren’t supposed to get through it or figure it all out alone. We need guidance, knowledge, ceremonies and rituals to assist us along the way.

The way forward is to continuously take personal responsibility for circumstances while finding ways to provide for ourselves. We need to heal from personal and generational traumas, grow our own food, trade without bank/loans, reuse & recycle materials as well as harness energy from our environment to live more sustainably.

That’s why my heart is set on creating The Village, a conscious community, living and supporting one another, embracing life's ups and downs (together) while creating beautiful sustainable ways of living through collective problem solving which cultivates individuals to thrive together.

A vision that aims to cultivate deep connections within a

community rooted in nature and sustainable living.

Thank you for taking the time to read a glimpse of my personal story.
